SparklyUnicorn Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 They sent me new car insurance documents. This is about 3 weeks late AND after I cancelled the insurance and forwarded proof of new coverage. :glare: 1 Quote
Lanny Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 If the documents were delayed in the U.S. Mail, that would be OK. But, if State Farm sent them out to you, late, that's negligence on their part IMO. I had State Farm coverage (in TX), Automobile and Homeowners, but that was in a different state than you are in and that was years ago. I never had any problems with State Farm. By now, you are with another company for your Automobile coverage and I think you are looking for another Homeowners company. At the least, I would change State Farm Agents and try to get one who will give you his/her cell phone number, in case of an emergency outside of their normal office hours. I changed State Farm Agents once, because I moved about 66 miles and wanted a local agent. Never had issues with either agent or the company. GL 1 Quote

The new cards were due June 20th. Usually they send it 2 weeks prior. So...no...that's all on them. The local guy did get back to me right away. He claims the corporate office "accidentally" cancelled my insurance delaying them with renewing locally. If that's the case, why not call me? Whatever. But at least now I know it's all set. Guest Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Huh, that stinks! In all the years we have had them the cards have come at least a month before they were due. We have had nothing but awesome with State Farm and have multiple types of policies with them. Our local agent and his staff are kind of amazing. Quote

He said he plans to complain to the higher ups because of the trouble it caused. Really, calling me when there was an issue would have saved a lot of aggravation. I literally thought we were driving around without insurance. He said his local assistant was having trouble with the paperwork stuff because of it. Again, call me to tell me there is some weird delay, but I'm covered. That's all I'd expect. Stuff happens. Quote

SparklyUnicorn Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 What the heck?! It's not even a borderline controversial topic?? Probably just someone who either doesn't like me or wants to be a jerk. Or both. I notice this on other people's posts. This random 1 starring crap for no reason I can fathom. Why is this even a "feature"? Quote
Guest Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I know it can be turned off in the board style controls by a moderator. It may be worth some pleading notes to Susan, except it can be very useful on the curriculum boards. Double edged sword. Quote
Scarlett Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I know I have accidentally one starred before and there is no way to fix it. 1 Quote
