goldbergmarcusfamily Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 So pleased to be included in this group! We are considering moving quite a bit in the next 6 months to one year with our 4 children ages 12, 9, 5, and 4. This would be for professional reasons, and would include travel to South Asia, Europe, and several locations in the US. We are considering engaging a travelling home schooling teacher to travel with us as a way to ensure that the family does not need to be separated for long periods of time during this time of work travel. Our children attend an international school (IB/MYP Program) in the Netherlands; we are aware that IB cannot be home schooled, so we are seeking someone who can tutor the kids in such a way so that they are able to re-integrate into school again after our travel is completed. If anyone has any experience or links or networks to connect to travelling home schooling professionals, please let me know. Thank you so much! Quote
G5052 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 I know of several families who live in my area part-time who have a tutor or homeschooling nanny who travel with them. One of them hired a retired, widowed homeschool mom who wanted to travel, and the others found theirs through agencies. It's becoming common in Hollywood too: http://education.penelopetrunk.com/2013/06/03/in-hollywood-homeschooling-is-the-norm/ Quote
