mskelly Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 :crying: My darling son deleted my camera card with all of our 4th of July pictures on it. I've been searching for free software to recover the files. I had a program that did this, but it isn't working now...maybe to old? Everything I find has a free download and it finds all of my pictures, but then I have to pay for the full version of the program. Does anyone know of a free, safe download to recover my images? Thanks for any suggestions you can toss my way. 1 Quote
mamiof5 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I'm so sorry!!! I don't have suggestions, but only sympathy... I know the feeling😞 Quote
kitten18 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) I paid $30 for software to recover a memory card. I wasn't happy, but I wasn't willing to lose the pictures. Edited July 5, 2016 by kitten18 Quote
Lanny Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 My wife had this experience, about 1 1/2 or 2 years ago, with a Samsung Android phone. She believes the program she had success with was "Disk Drill" (the name I saw on the screen when she was searching was longer than that, but it started with "Disk Drill". She said when you first use it, the default is that it has every file type selected. Deselect the file types you do not want to search for, and leave checked things like .JPG and .JPEG for your photos. She was able to recover her photos :-) If that doesn't work, I usually go to CNET.COM or DOWNLOAD.COM (I think those are the same sites on CNET) when I need an Application or (much more often) a Utility to download. Lanny Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Possibly this article on About.com will help you. If not, I would look on CNET for a Free Utility you can use. GL http://pcsupport.about.com/od/filerecovery/f/recover-deleted-files-how-to.htm Quote
