Went camping. Loaded movies for ds with disabilities to watch in car and perhaps for down time. Stopped working before we even reached destination.

This stuff is great when we need to calm ds. And we really needed to be able to do that this trip. Bleah!

I guess there's bigger stuff in the world. I have much bigger problems.

Now I need to find out how that warranty works. Got it for Christmas.bummer.

Have you held the on button down and tried to reboot?

Definitely try this first. Hold it down for 20 seconds, and then try turning it on again.

Also try hooking it up to a different charger/cord or an external power bank to see if it will take a charge. Tech support will have you try both of those things before shipping it back for replacement.

I had this happen, and holding down the start button did not work.   Since I thought it was junk, DH opened up my Kindle, unplugged the battery, then plugged it back, and it worked.  This is a last ditch effort, but  wouldn't hurt to try before discarding your Kindle.

I know this will void any warranties, but I was already past the warranty period.

Amazon is the easiest company ever to work with on returns/warranty/etc. If you just got it for this past Christmas, for sure they'll replace it free. Just call. It's painless!
