Dd12 likes to wear legging style pants, she wants freedom to move and likes the softness. In the past the leggings have mostly been a little loose on her and I thought they looked fine, but she's starting to fill out or maybe the styles are changing and now they are looking more like tights on her. Are there any legging type pants that are just a little bit loose so she can wear them comfortably without worrying about wearing a longer shirt or looking inappropriate? I'm not quite comfortable with just tights on the legs and butt for adolescents. She has a couple of pairs of jeggings that have just that little bit of looseness that seems to make a big difference in how she looks, I'd like to find more pairs like that. Maybe it's just a matter of somewhat thicker material?

What about yoga pants?

I was going to say straight leg yoga pants aren't as tight but they won't be fitted on the bottom. It is hard to find them fitted at the bottom and not tight.

I have a couple pair of jean leggings and they're definitely not as tight, they really look like jeans.

Looser exercise pants are really popular right now. They have a looser leg and a ribbed cuff at the bottom.

How big is she (so much difference in 12 year olds!)? My disabled dd can still fit Hanna Andersson and their leggings are a little looser. They go up to 160 cm--I don't know how to translate that to regular sizes! It's maybe a kids 14???
