Does anyone have a family member who deals with EoE?

Dh has had it for years & it's driving me crazy. Hard to cook for.

Finally diagnosed a decade ago, but no real treatments that he's tried & more & more things are setting it off, including things he used to be able to eat. (His main triggers are non organic chicken, turkey, & other meats, but lately even organic does often. And he hates eating vegetarian, sigh. No food allergies ever found with testing)

Highly suggesting he go see an allergist again, since so much more has been learned about it since he last saw someone.

Ds1 had classic symptoms as an infant/toddler and was unable to even swallow baby food until 2.5 y.o.  Drs were dismissive.  Fast forward 4 years, and he had a scope to rule out celiac.  They found 41 eos per hpf and lots of esophageal inflammation.  Because he had absolutely no symptoms, we chose to not complete the diagnostic process.  I've read quite a bit, but ds hasn't had significant problems since he was young.  Not sure whether this is helpful at all.  When ds was at his worst, typical skin prick allergy testing came back negative.  I believe they do a skin patch for patients with EoE, so it would be good to find a clinic that specializes in EoE.  Is your dh connected with a medical team who understands EoE?

My DH, who was diagnosed last year, is also Celiac. He tested negative for allergies but before treatment nuts were definitely a trigger. The allergist told him to check in frequently since it is a little understood disease. He takes Omeprazole first thing in the morning, and now has no symptoms.
