Worried about my cat. :(

We noticed yesterday that he was hanging his mouth open and drooling a lot. Not eating/drinking very much. Very lethargic. When he does eat it looks like he's having a very hard time chewing. I can't get into the vet until July 11th?!

I am taking him to an emergency vet tonight when someone gets home.  We have three cars and of course, they are all in use. :/

That's a really long time to get a sick pet in to see a vet. Maybe it's time to find a different doctor.

I know. I found another vet that could get him in on Thursday. That's still too long.

Drooling and lack of appetite are not good signs. It was fatty liver disease for my cat with those symptoms. I hope it is something treatable with your cat. That is frustrating you could not get in with a sick cat to your vet.

He has an ulcer in his mouth and needs a dental consult. He had a high fever so we got abx and pain meds.

 

One of his teeth looks really bad.

Aww. I hope kitty turns around quickly. We just got back from vacation and one of our cays seems skinny and off. Going to the vet today. :( At least I was able to get in within 24 hours.

Poor kitty! I hope they can get his tooth out quickly. My avatar guy had that happen, and it popped up practically overnight. He was perfectly fine after his extraction. :)

Yeah, it just came out of nowhere.

He is doing better already this a.m. He actually purred and it's been a few days.

Took him to the regular vet today and he has a upper respiratory infection. So, hooray, nothing too serious.
