Runningmom80 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) I'd like my youngers to study US history with their brother, but I'm not going to use the same books as their older brother. What are your favorite resources for US history in the early grades? (1-3rd) TIA! ETA: secular please :) Edited June 27, 2016 by someonestolemyname Quote

Momto6inIN Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 We're using the Betsy and Giulio Maestro series of books to cover early Americas through the American Revolution. They're really great! I haven't found anything comparable for the rest of American History though, so for that we've also got the Complete Book of US History and lots of misc books to round it out. 1 Quote
Runningmom80 Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 The maestro books look great! (I'm looking for relaxed at this point, it's for first grade.) Thank you for the great suggestions everyone! 1 Quote

EKS Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I used K12's History K, which has a semester of US history and a semester of world geography when my son was 6. We really liked it. 1 Quote
