Anatomical drawing?

Thanks! he's 17.  i think i'll probably go with the master class even though its a tad pricey.

 

Yeah, I noticed that after I posted.  But it does look like a good class.  Another option (since he is older) if you live near a college is to see if he can dual enroll or audit a class which uses live models.

This is a great course (ignore the bizarre website design — I don't know who redid the website for him, but they did not do him a favor!). It teaches you to draw the human figure from the inside out — start with the skeleton, add all the individual muscles, then the skin. The first 19 lessons are free to try it out, and the whole package (250 or so lessons) is $45. They're very well done.

WOW! that one is half the price and i love that we can try it out first!!

Some art museums offer art courses for adults, teens, and children. Many offer people drawing with a model. A museum might admit an interested high school student into an adult class - if you ask.

 

You could also check one of your local art guilds. Sometimes, groups of artists will hire a model for the sake of practicing. An experienced artist might also be willing to "mentor" an interested young artist.
