For the last 5-6 weeks, someone has been sick in our house. I am exhausted and cannot get anything done. Baby woke up with fever at one am. We had plans for today but I am so exhausted that I would rather cry.

I keep telling myself that illnesses run in clusters like this and soon we will all be healthy for a long time. But sheesh!! When??? Baby has had an icky nose for a while so I figure it has become an ear infection now. I took him to the doctor previously for this. The fever is new. But since early May, we have had one viral thing after another.

Maybe this is just a vent post. But this long, hard, sick, sucky year just won't seem to stop.

I have no advice, but I remember stretches like these when my people were little.  It seemed we were the only sick people I knew and everyone else was out having fun.  Take lots of naps, snuggle, use Lysol....that's all I got, other than a hug!

yeah, that's a long time for sicknesses to be hitting you one after the other. I'd go all out with cleaning, buy disinfecting wipes & use them liberally, vacuum like crazy, increase everyone's intake of vegetables & fruits, and make sure the kids are getting enough sunshine/ fresh air and sleep. Reinstate nap time / afternoon quiet time.  I hope you can squeeze in a nap too :)

We're at about 10 weeks with ds. It's driving me nuts. We had 5 weeks, a break of 1 week, 2 weeks, a break of 1 week and we're onto a second week. We haven't been to the doctor because there's no fever or ear ache or sore throat just a vile runny nose and a cough. He's taking vitamins by the handful and a cough-and-decongestant med but nothing seems to end his run of germiness!

Plus change or boil the toothbrushes, make sure you change all the bedding, and wipe down favorite toys.

Have you considered cleaning your air ductwork (assuming you have any)? My kids were constantly sick for two years with respiratory stuff. I hired a company to clean the air ductwork, and like magic the illnesses quickly cleared up and never returned.

Hmm, are my allergies really getting worse, or do I need to clean my ductwork? I don't even know if we have ductwork. We have central air, which seems like it would need ducts?

Yeah, I think if you have central air there must be ducts. We don't have central air since it's Canada - we need central heat (my furnace turned on the last couple days cause it got cold lol)

We got an electrostatic filter gizmo thing which installed over the main ducting at our furnace & I think that's been making a difference for me.
