I am looking for nice quality socks to wear with my tennis shoes. I am overweight and have fat ankles. Not fluid retention, just fat.

I had some games ones that were great but I can't find them anywhere, even on line. Most ones I find leave marks on my ankles as the elastic is just too tight.

I am looking for ankle height socks, not the no show ones but not the crew ones either.

Dr. Scholl's Diabetic & Circulatory socks.  They have black and white.  Two sizes are available.

They're not dressy, but they are comfy and don't bind.

I wear boy's or men's socks.  I don't have fat ankles, but I find the socks comfortable.  The boy's socks are better for me because my feet are small.  But the part around the ankles are so soft and comfy.  It's just easier because I've got three guys in the house.  I just steal their socks.  LOL  The boys wear Hanes.  DH wears socks his mother sends him from Germany (no clue what they are).

Another option is to wear those socks that basically just cover your feet and don't come up very high.  Although I don't like those.  Feels to me like my socks are falling down.

Another vote for men's socks. TJMaxx and Marshalls have nice-quality athletic socks. I like the wool-blend ones and collect them over time.

My favorite for my fat and swollen ankles are MediPeds. I get them at Walmart, they're beside the Dr. Scholl's diabetic socks.

I wear these too. I bruise very easily and was ending up with chains of bruises around my ankles from tight socks. Medipeds really good and look nice. I wear the ankle height ones all the time.

These are the MediPeds, I think they're a few dollars cheaper at Walmart, but sometimes they're hard to find in stock.  (Reading reviews on Amazon, both the men's and ladies', buy them at Walmart, the Amazon socks are not as thick and soft.)
