Just Kate
Growing up, I always had oily skin. Now I would say it is normal (maybe a bit oily, but nothing like those teen years!). I'm 40 and concerned with wrinkles, but what is bugging me most is my large pores. I need some ideas on how to treat. And if the treatment helps to prevent wrinkles too, all the better. :)

Tita Gidge
I used to travel for work, and spent most of the month in hotels. I used to get ice and apply it to my face before putting on make-up. It would significantly shrink pores. Now that I'm retired, I'm too lazy to make that trek from kitchen to my bathroom. So now I just get the water super cold and splash it on my face. It always takes my breath away, literally. It tightens those pores and wakes me right up! My sister uses apple cider vinegar as an astringent and has the same effect - her pores tighten up. I can't stand the smell so I stick to my water routine. She has gorgeous skin. Everyone in my family has oily skin and larger pores. I think it's genetic to our ethnicity. I also think it's what keeps us looking younger as we age, however unattractive large pores are!
JumpyTheFrog
How long does the vinegar or ice method keep the pores smaller for?
hornblower
BHA exfoliant. Specifically bha, not aha because bha is better at getting at the inside of the pore. http://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/acne/_/struggling-with-enlarged-pores-and-blackheads
redsquirrel
This is one of my all time favorite beauty bloggers and one of my all time favorite posts of hers about pores. And FWIW, you can't make really them smaller, you can just minimize their appearance. Pores don't open and close. https://fiftyshadesofsnail.com/2015/03/28/how-to-shrink-pores-temporarily-plus-3-pore-myths/
