ISO interesting geography book ...

Recommended Posts

Here are some books about geography that look interesting to me. I haven't read any of these, but I am making a list for our study of geography next year. I can't comment on any of these, because I've not researched any more than to make this list. I did purchase the Reader's Digest Must-See Places of the World for us to use in addition to reading about geography in our text and whichever of these books I end up choosing to use. Perhaps others will see this list and be able to comment on one or more titles.

Probably not what you have in mind, but, Dervla Murphy is an Irish travel writer who has written books about riding a bike or mule etc through many different countries. Very interesting and a good way of learning about those countries. She gives a lot of interesting details about the places she is going through. She does have strong political views, if that's something you want to avoid.
