Melissa in Australia Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 So I have medical appointments for twin 1 at the Children's hospital on Friday. I arranged access visits to happen tomorrow (Thursday) to reduce travel to Melbourne. I have the train tickets and the motel booked and paid for. It is only about 7 hours until we will get the 4 am bus to meet the train and do the 7 hour trip down. I just collected the mail and found that the main medical appointment has been rescheduled till the 17th. ARGH!!!!!!!!! :cursing: :cursing: It is too late to change the access visit and other medical appointments. which means I will be traveling to Melbourne ( 7 hour trip each way by public transport) 3 weeks in a row. ( attending a Dan Hughes seminar on attachment disorders next week). If twin 1 needs new AFO's then I will have to go down 4 weeks in a row. I just feel like crying 4 Quote

BlsdMama Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Oh Melissa! ~That's so much travel. :( ((Hugs)) Today is a recovery day for me. Yesterday painted the basement (5 gallons of paint and primer and my left arm is a noodle.) Then we transplanted more plants and hostas. Balance checking account/pay bills Clean the bathrooms - mama clean, not kid clean. School - Barton x3 Math stuff Clear out books I don't need/want from the shelves Baths all around for shorties. Yesterday was an outside day and I was too tired to do baths... Ew. Read Nap Fill out verification form and mail it for financial aid for school. Edited June 1, 2016 by BlsdMama 4 Quote
SKL Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 R.I.P. Pichu (the betta). She got sick and died. I did her burial at "sea" and freshened up the tank for Jenna (the other betta). I think I will have the house to myself today. Now I need to find the energy to make the best of it! I keep checking the kids' online grades since they are supposed to go final today. This year's teacher is really slow about entering grades, but she's been wonderful otherwise. My computer is sluggish and I have a ton of work to do. Oh, and I am excited to announce a breakthrough. For 2 days in a row, both of my kids remembered to flush the toilet without being reminded. Yes, they are way too old for this to be an accomplishment, but that's where we are. :P The list: Pay final school bills. [done] Kids up & off to the school bus. [done] Pet burial at "sea." [done] Pet care. [done] Clean kitchen, bathrooms, and some clutter. [done] Work. Laundry. Pay camp bill. Mail some personal stuff. Kids' work. Family TKD? Followed by swimming for the kids? Read-aloud. Kids to bed. Work. 4 Quote

I really hope dh feels better tomorrow so I can fold laundry and go through my school stuff (my school stuff area looks like a bomb went off followed by a tornado that threw in other miscellaneous crap in there with it) Edited June 2, 2016 by MomtoCandJ 3 Quote
SKL Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I'm stressed out about work. This is such a busy time. I forgot to respond to an email which got buried in about 100 others. I am now getting brow-beaten because I received a follow-up reminder. Contrary to popular belief, being brow-beaten does not improve my productivity. In fact, it is extremely distracting. :/ It doesn't help that my computer gets hung up every time I receive an email. 1 Quote
BlsdMama Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Everything is moving this morning but it feels slow and clunky. Do I lie to myself and say, "You'll feel so much better and productive after a nap." ? :D 3 Quote
