Vida Winter Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Does anyone have experience with Barry Stebbing's books entitled "How Great Thou Art I & II" or "Nature Drawing & Journaling"? 1 Quote
Bookworm4 Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I have been curious about his products as well for next year. Quote
Serenade Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 (edited) We have not used those two products, but my younger son is using the Feed My Sheep program, and we've been very pleased with it. I don't know how old your student is, but my son has used Feed My Sheep for 5th, 6th and 7th grade. It's a three year program, but he will probably end up using it through 8th grade, too. ETA: We bought the complete kit that includes the videos. Edited May 24, 2016 by Serenade 1 Quote
Vida Winter Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 Thanks for the input, Serenade - she decided to try Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain & the accompanying lesson sketchbook which we already owned. I should shop in my own closet more often. I do like the looks of Barry Stebbing's products, though, especially the nature journal. 1 Quote
5sons Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 We use "How Great Thou Art I and II" with my 12-15 yr olds. They have liked it and done well. Lots of actual drawing instruction. After those two books they can pick up any drawing/art guide and learn from it on their own. I was not impressed with the nature journal. Not much drawing instruction, so I sold it. Glad you found something that will work. We have Right Side of Brain too, but couldn't get the boys into it. Sometimes it comes down to personal preference. 😉 Kristen 1 Quote
