EKS Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Does anyone know of a University Model school in Washington State? Or any school where students attend a few days per week and have school mandated homework on the other days? I am interested in finding out if this particular model is legal in WA. Quote

FairProspects Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Family Academy/Academy NW, but they still function under homeschool laws, so maybe they do not meet your criteria. Themelios in Renton would be another one to check out. Themelios bills themselves as a group tutoring situation so as not to lose homeschool status, but they operate essentially as a cottage school. You might be on to something with the law; all options seemed concerned about maintaining legal homeschool status over part time private school status. Edited May 23, 2016 by FairProspects Quote

We do not give grades...we will give you a grade if you want as a service... Very interesting. 1 Quote

The one school like that I know about in Texas Also considers itself a homeschool type, NOT a part time private school. They are there to aid the parent in teaching certain subjects. 1 Quote
