Who's going to tackle Sunday with me?

Recommended Posts

I am going to try to get to church for the first time since, I think, Easter.  We are being major slackers this year!

After that, my friends want to take my kids to an ethnic festival.  Fine with me; they did their "work" today so they can have fun tomorrow.

I will spend most of the day working.  And I need to get some laundry done.

-church (the church at school is recognizing the 8th grade graduates and we are required to be there)

-laundry (now there is a surprise)

-exercise - Cathe Friedrich Great Glutes

-help oldest with studying for finals and work on a project

-read (I think I'm a week behind in my 52 books in 52 weeks)

-plan dinners and what to do with inlaws when they arrive Friday, a full week before graduation (MIL has life threatening allergy to all poultry so chicken and anything with chicken stock is out)

-clean oven

-get the family ready for church.

Done.

-enjoy peace, quite and solitude for 10-15 minutes.

Unfortunately, done. It went too quickly.

-go to mom's house and prep for being not lived in long-term.

Done.

-visit mom in rehab, sign papers.

On our way now, dd16 wants to drive. Done

-mow yard.

Done. At least ours is. Still need to do mom's and cemetery.

-place flags on veterans in cemetery.

Not done. Will do Wednesday when we mow.

-prep for school week, only two weeks left.

Done.

-oh, and take a picture of our caterpillars.

Done. And kittens. And dog. Showed mom. She loved it.

Good morning! We are headed to Mass in 30 minutes and then home for breakfast. Dh and I are stopping in to a graduation open house and then home.

Ds1 is going to the open house and then spending the day with friends. Girls are spending the afternoon with friends. No idea about the other boys.

Nothing pressing, except cleaning the kitchen.

Have a great day!

Yay, we made it to Sunday School and church!  There is only one more Sunday before school lets out.  The kids are supposed to show up for church weekly at least 50% of the school year, and I think we are below that this year.  I can blame illness and travel for a lot of it, but I should at least look like I'm trying.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going to church with my kids, but waking up Sunday morning is a whole nother matter.  When I'm under the weather or overworked, Sunday is usually the only day I can realistically sleep in.  My kids aren't excited to leap out of bed in the mornings, either.  :P  Plus it seems I'm bloated half of the time, and my church clothes don't have any give at the waist.  :P  Of course I can't very well explain that to the church attendance people.

Now I need to get to work.  Hopefully I will be super productive today.  :)

Good afternoon! It's a perfect spring day in TN today - 75 and sunny with a light breeze and no humidity.

We went to worship and Sunday school, then to a picnic for Dd's Ss class.

My girl is moving up to the youth group. Yikes! how did that happen so fast?! I remember her first day of Sunday school, when she was 2.

The party was big fun and now we are relaxing at home.

Nothing on my list at all, except make dinner, eventually.  :thumbup1:
