DIVE Biology... which text?

Recommended Posts

We have used DIVE for Integrated Chem and Physics, and ds has loved it. We used the Internet Reading and the BJU text, and he liked it as well... just alot of reading, which was fine.

Anyway, he wants to use DIVE for Biology. He is more a Physics/Chem type student... so we are looking for a "simple" text to cover it well, but also get it done and not end up bogged down. The website recommends either BJU or Apologia as a text. If you were looking to "get it done", which text would you use?

I'd use the BJU one.

We tried the Apologia one with my oldest, but there were just too many gaps that were hard to fill in. It just didn't go well for us. We only had the first Apologia text anyway, so all of the human body material would have been web-based, or I would have had to buy the Apologia text for that. I already owned the Christian Liberty text, and that's what we went with. It was fine, but very "texty" and not as engaging.

I started watching for BJUP texts, and found a set for $10 at a library sale. So that's what my younger one used. She really liked both the text and the course in general.

Thank you! That answers all my thoughts and questions! :hurray:
