Openhearted Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) Visit with mom, check status of moving to rehab: 9-11 this morning. Done. Mom is being moved today after all. Pre cert finally came through. Hair appointment at 12 noon. This will take a while. Done. It didn't turn out like I thought, due to my salon ignorance, but I learned something. Early evening: laundry, tidy house. It will probably be a disaster because I will have been gone all day. Done. Amazingly dd16 cleaned, done laundry and took care of the twins. I paid her well. Now they are wanting to go out to eat. So supper. Done. I like these tackle threads. Edited May 21, 2016 by Openhearted 4 Quote

MomtoCandJ Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) Good morning, haven't been on this board in a while.... - laundry- in dryer - dishes- in dishwasher - tidy house- done enough - start kitchen deep clean (it needs to be done before I start back to school in August along with the rest of the house (though living room has been done along with girls room)- stove/oven, vent done (well burner grates in dishwasher and oven self clean going, vent filter drying outside), organized cabinet above dishwasher (where dd2's sippy cups are, had to match valves with lids because it irritates me to have to hunt them down), cleaned out/organized fridge (freezer was done a few days ago) - when dd1 gets back from friend's house she needs to clean her room - nap- done - dinner- too hot - pack up for work- done - work (overnight shift) - anything else I get done- found parts for lawnmower (air filter and because it's an older mower, I need to order them online) Edited May 21, 2016 by MomtoCandJ 5 Quote
SKL Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) Hi! Happy Saturday! We all survived yesterday (very late busy night) and then slept in today. Would you believe my kid lost her music notes AGAIN (she carried them into the school at 6:35 and they were gone by 7:00!) But luckily she had it pretty well memorized. Just a few mistakes and slowdowns - no worse than any of the kids who had their notes. :p Such a big smile afterward. :) Today: A little work & catch up on social media. [done] Kids' last soccer game at noon. [done - shutout win! 6-0 for the season! Both of mine got a goal today! Nice way to end it.] Surprise ice cream (from coach) after soccer game. [done] Some lunch or play at park. [done] Kids' golf lesson. Walk while they golf? [done] Kids' work. [assigned] Work. [doing....] Read-aloud? Kids to bed. Work. Edited May 21, 2016 by SKL 5 Quote
ScoutTN Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Dd's birthday tea party is this afternoon. She is feeling a bit under the weather, so she is napping this morning. I hope she feels better by 1:00! Hard to catch up with 8 moms at this point. She has had this mild, intermittent nausea and general fatigue off and on the last few weeks. I am wondering if it is hormonal, as she is beginning to develop. Thankfully, Ds is at my mom's until right before the party, so we have a quiet house. Scones baked, flowers arranged, strawberries dipped, cheese out of the fridge, table set, house tidied (many thanks to Dh!) Now for a shower, clean clothes and making the Devonshire cream (wearing an apron!) The sun is coming out. If it stays out, I may take Ds to the pool tonight. 4 Quote

Laurel-in-CA Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 DH and I are deep-cleaning the bedroom. Moving furniture, cleaning fan & its fixtures (for which our high ceilings mean we need a step ladder), and choosing more stuff for online sales. Turns out we need to add vacuum cleaner repair to that list as well. 3 Quote
SKL Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I forgot to wash my kids' soccer uniforms. The last time they wore them, they played with shaving cream and got it all over themselves. I rinsed them and hung them in my shower to dry, then stuffed them into my dirty clothes hamper. Yesterday was such a busy and exhausting day, I forgot all about laundry. So today I dragged the uniforms (and leggings) out of the bins and laid them out. LOL! They smelled like soap! Could be worse! Well, it was a good game (for us anyway). Both of my kids made a goal, and we ended the season 6-0. I don't know if we can play another season of soccer. I keep saying we're not going to, but we really love it. Maybe we can make it work somehow. I may be slightly insane. 3 Quote
