Pistachio mom Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Hi. I am looking at options for my next year 10th grader for earning a high school elective that I plan to call Technology Applications or something like that. I am looking for a course that gives practical user instruction for word-processing, power point, basic spread sheets, etc. This is not for a student interested in programming or coding. This is to give practical guidance for useful computer skills. I am currently looking at the Alpha Omega catalog. (first time ever....) I need a course that is video or somehow interactive if possible. Because my daughter's other courses are so challenging, I am looking for something very practical for her that would be the next logical step after keyboarding skills. Has anyone tried this or anything similar? Thank you! Quote
Momto6inIN Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I don't know anything at all about that particular course, but I do know that my oldest DS did the SOS Small Business Entrepreneurship one this past year and neither one of us was particularly impressed. Too easy content, too vague assignments. It was ok as a .5 credit elective, but I probably won't be looking at SOS again. YMMV. Quote
