gardenmom5 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 seattle area, names would be helpful. orthopod? or something else? for a soft tissue injury that is muscle cramping pulling on ligiments, tendons, bones, etc. possibly a nerve in at least one area. I actuallly *started* with a sports medicine allopath!. . . . he waited six weeks to order a MRI. (sexism - it's "just" your meniscus. no, it was the MCL.) he was worthless. . . . paranoia about money and insurance runs deep. I really think that injury was the one that twisted my fibula in the socket - the chiropractor fixed that. it was injured again a year ago - and the pain has never stopped, - muscles cramping pulling on other stuff. so - suggestions? no one has given me exercises, or pt, etc. I working on doing yoga daily - and/or walking. it can really hurt to walk - but walking helps, until it doesn't. Tap Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Do you have access to a physiatrist? They are often a DO but sometimes an MD, so they are more inclined to look at the whole body as one machine. They are generally like an orthopedist, but not necessarily a surgeon. A sports medicine clinic will likely have one if you need someplace to start. It sounds pretty similar to who you went to, but maybe you just need to see a different one. We have seen 2 different ones for dd. One was great but he moved away. His replacement, I won't go back to. 1 Quote
