Mostly a normal day.  But yesterday I sort of missed a tax filing deadline, because the IRS online thingy would not work, so I have to call them and figure that out.  I don't think there's a penalty for late filing (very small nonprofit info return), but it's not a good thing.

No more house guests.  I don't know if I have the house to myself or not.

The list:

  • Try to somewhat finish the work I promised to send out last night.. [done]
  • Some school papers / payments. [tomorrow]
  • Kids up & off to school bus. [done]
  • Pet care. [done]
  • Clean kitchen, bathrooms, some clutter. [done]
  • Nap??  [done]
  • More work.
  • Figure out what to do about tax filing problem.
  • Some laundry.
  • Pay bills.
  • Call my mom for her birthday.
  • Kids' work.
  • Kids' soccer photo shoot.
  • Not sure if they have soccer practice or not.  If not, some exercise for them & me.
  • Some scout work.  Find their pocket knives.
  • Read-aloud?
  • Kids to bed.
  • Work.

SKL, hope all goes well with the tax thing!

I'm on edge this morning. My father-in-law had an MRI yesterday because he's been having bad back pain for awhile. He's had back surgery in the past and thought it was probably related. The doctor called yesterday afternoon saying there was something on the MRI that didn't look good, he was calling FIL's family doctor, and he has to see that doctor at 8 this morning. Getting a person to a doctor the next morning first thing doesn't sound good at all.

The person I wondered about coming to co-op is not, so we are losing four families, two important teaching spots.

Done:

breakfast and lunch for dh

fed cats

coffee

did the set up on my fitness band a friend recommended (Garmin), but so far it's showing more steps than I'm taking

To Do:

more coffee

breakfast

school with ds

lunch

pay bills

tidy house

take ds to recital practice

dinner

play a game or two

read in books considering for book club

MIL called to say the doctors are saying he has cancer. I'm sort of surprised from an MRI, but I don't know how it all works. It's on his adrenal gland and kidney. They are waiting for an appointment time with an oncologist. Dh called, so he knows now.

Some cleaning

Have a great day!

A million things to do and no motivation.  DH's company was just bought in a huge merger and his status at the moment is not what we thought it would be.  Lots of stress and pressure about what to do, some of it involving a long distance move with a high school freshman.  Ugh.

-take oldest to doctor for sudden high fever

-exercise (cardio day)

-guest room linens

-laundry (darks)

-straighten up house before cleaning people come tomorrow

-make graduation memory board for oldest (it was due yesterday)

-take youngest to doctor for yearly physical

-figure out dinner and do something about it.

-gather up hundred+ books to take to Goodwill

I'm moving slow.
Eldest has an orthodontist appointment today and it takes 15-20 minutes to walk there. (If I was to drive, which I don't like doing - due to the fact our town is going through major construction it takes about 15 minutes to drive there)

My Dh has his Japanesse class tonight.

Now that I've had a little coffee after my nap, I remember that my brother has an MRI for something around his lymph node and my dad has something appointment for his sore knee.

I will check in on all that when I call my mom for her birthday.

Hard to know what time is best to call.  Too early, you wake her up.  Don't call during her shows.  Too late, you miss your chance.  :P

So now I got a general IRS email (I'm on a distribution list) saying that a small percentage of charities were unable to file yesterday, and that we won't be penalized if we file late for that reason.  They say they'll let us do it over the phone if we can't make it work online.

Now I am wondering why I didn't save the screen shot last night when it kept telling me there was an error.  Duh.  I was trying to find an email address so I could document that I emailed about the problem before midnight, but there was no address.  :/

Chiming in late, but today is an easy day anyway-

-take the cat to the vet - just a check up and shots, she's not sick - appointment is 3:30 so I have to leave soon

-general tidying up

-game night with friends tonight - bring one of them some bell peppers from our garden

-order a tote for a weekend away next week (Megacon). I needed one that would fit my tablet and Kindle and still be a purse

We went through that a little over a year ago. It's very stressful, though it all did work out okay. Hugs to you.

Who am I kidding? That basket of laundry will never be put away.

So far today, I brought dd to a dentist appointment, went grocery shopping, wrote inscriptions in a few books, and helped the kids with various lessons. I made a dreaded phone call made even worse in that I had to leave a message. So now I am afraid to leave the house in case I miss her call. Or what if she doesn't check her messages? Or what if she can't understand what I was saying? I hate making phone calls.

My goals for the rest of the day are to make soup for dinner, put away 15 things from the stupid laundry basket, and go to the thrift store.

Next up:

more RA? We are in the middle of Eagle of the Ninth and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and the kids would have me read every minute!
