Which IEW: All Things Fun & Fascinating, or Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales?

We are going to have to work some this summer on our IEW skills to prep for a class next year.  My kids aren't going to be thrilled about it.  Which is more FUN for the kids, All Things Fun & Fascinating, or Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales?

I taugth FMFT to a small group a few years ago. We had a blast. LOVE that theme book! (so that's my vote, obviously).

Definitely All Things Fun and Fascinating!! We didn't finish Fables, Myths and Fairy Tales. Didn't hold our interest after the first few stories.

All Things Fun & Fascinating might provide more opportunity for success and therefore be more enjoyable. It's the product they recommend for just starting out (if you don't do SWI-A).

I like Fun & Fascinating best.  It's really well written and easy to follow, good instructions, incremental.  Two of my boys have used it and I love how it walks the student through the basics, little by little, until they are writing multiple paragraphs.  Great especially for reluctant writers.

 

I'm doing Fairy Tales & Fables right now with my daughter and am finding it a bit more difficult to navigate.  Doable, but sometimes frustrating.
