StaceyinLA Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 If so, what are the main positives for you? I just picked up a barely used for a pretty good price on eBay to give it a try, and was just wondering what actual owners thought of it. Quote
Arctic Bunny Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I got one for DH for Christmas/birthday. He is totally a gadget/tech guy, but was surprised because he'd never thought of getting one. Now he says he loves it. He can see a text without taking out his phone (really does look less rude, and can see if it's important). He actually uses the nudge reminder to get up and move around. Checks his heart rate. Can see when there's a war on in Clash of Clans. You know, the important stuff! Quote
zimom Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I think I am the only one withOUT one in my circle. :) I have no desire and I am a tech person. Quote
Jan in SC Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) I have one. I really like because my phone is the 6s plus, so it can stay in my bag, and I can still see texts and phone calls on my watch. (That sounds silly when I say it, but it's true.) Eta- there are lots of health/fitness tracking things I could use it for, but well- nope- not yet. Edited May 16, 2016 by Jan in SC Quote
StaceyinLA Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 Well I totally love gadgets AND all things Apple, so I feel like I'll like certain aspects of it for sure. I am a watch wearer as well, so it's not like I'm getting something I wouldn't wear anyway. I like the idea of being able to see if a text coming through is important enough that I need to excuse myself to respond. I like the idea of being able to use Apple Pay without pulling out my phone. I'm also excited about using the fitness and heart rate components. I got a pretty good deal on it, so I figure if it's not for me, I shouldn't lose much reselling it. Quote
monstermama Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 In addition to what's already been mentioned, I have my watch display set up to show my next appointment on the calendar and the weather temperature. I also like the ability to dictate texts with a couple clicks on the watch. So, basically, if you're frequently pulling your phone out to check quick things, you'll probably like the watch! Quote
StaceyinLA Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 I am pretty much attached at the hip to my phone. I know it's sad, but it is THE one thing in my life I couldn't give up. I send myself reminders for everything, use it as an alarm clock, talk to text/text, look up things, check the weather, use the maps, pay bills, listen to music, play games, and also make phone calls. ;-p I am seriously pumped about trying the watch and seeing what all I can do with it.
