Ann.without.an.e
DD already has competitive test scores, course load, and extra curriculars. What will Questbridge add to this? They emailed dd quite a bit and she decided last minute to apply. She has been named a Questbridge Prep scholar. I really don't even know what this means, what it does, etc. I need to look into it more. I have a slight fear that it will harm her in admissions if she isn't matched but surely it wouldn't, right? From the little I do know, not many kiddos are actually matched.
Hoggirl
I do not know much about this program, but here is the link to the board on Questbridge on College Confidential. Might find some answers there. There are many intelligent and helpful folks on CC (particularly on the financial aid page), but you do sometimes have to wade through some silliness. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/questbridge-programs/

I'll look but I won't make an account.
JanetC
If you think your DD might have any interest in any of the colleges in Questbridge, you should go for it. It's competitive, obviously, but if you get it, it's free money at a top ranked school. Congrats to her for being named a prep scholar!
