Pegasus Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I apologize if this has already been discussed. I tried doing a search and didn't see a recent conversation. I got an email this week from Great Courses Plus. They are reducing their subscription costs to $20 per month for a month to month subscription and $15 per month if an annual plan. If you've been interested but couldn't swing the previous $50/month fee, check it out! 11 Quote
Bambam Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Thanks for letting us know! That is a much more affordable option now! Quote
ErinE Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I've been using audible.com to get their courses. It's now cheaper so I may need to switch. Quote
k10coon Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Thanks so much for passing this on. I signed up as a post-Mother's Day present to myself! Quote
AimeeM Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 For those who have this, or have had it a for a bit, does it look like a nice selection of courses on the Plus? Quote
happi duck Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 How did I not know about this!!!??? Thanks for posting!! Quote
dsmith Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I signed up a few weeks ago when I saw they dropped the price. I LOVE IT!! For a few dollars more than I'm paying for Audible I can watch a ton of lectures. Some of the courses I wouldn't have considered buying but since they are included in the subscription I decided to check them out and ended up loving them. Greek and Roman Technology is one these - it is a fascinating course and I love the models. Ds is enjoying it too. I think I have about 15 courses in my watch list currently. Quote
foxbridgeacademy Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 For those who have this, or have had it a for a bit, does it look like a nice selection of courses on the Plus? I think so. There are 12 categories with between 25 and 75 courses in each one. There are some obvious absences like Western Civ 2 (they have WC 1) and a General Biology (they have Chem and lots of Physics) but these will be added in time I'm sure. We like it and use it a lot. I'm planning our American History, Literature and DS's elective (when he chooses from a list) using multiple courses. Quote
