Twinzen Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I am looking for a Marine Biology course my daugther can take. Any ideas? She's been asking about for a few years. We have Apologia Young Explorer Series and she has read several times over. Their Marine Biology course is best suited for 10th graders and beyond. Quote
Dmmetler Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 The Marine Biology coloring book is good, and she'd enjoy it. It has a lot of defails and information. Also, if you can make it work, Sea World has marine bio camps for middle schoolers that look great. A bit pricey, though. Quote
Carol in Cal. Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 You know who has outstanding marine bio camps? The Seymour Center, the public arm of the Long Memorial Lab at UC Santa Cruz. Quote
Targhee Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 https://www.oceanfirsteducation.com/They don't list any prices. Do you know how much their courses (short or full) run? Quote
Arcadia Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 My youngest who adores penguins read Marine Biology by Castro and Huber which we borrowed from the library. http://www.amazon.com/Marine-Biology-Peter-Castro/dp/0073524204 You know who has outstanding marine bio camps? The Seymour Center, the public arm of the Long Memorial Lab at UC Santa Cruz. My boys can't kayak :( We have been to the Seymour Center a few times. We'll be going to the Moss Landings Marine Lab open house :) Quote
