KarenNC Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 My daughter needs to work on math for the PSAT in hopes of qualifying for NMS this year (her verbal skills are fine). She'll be finishing up Saxon Algebra 2 in the next two weeks, so I'm looking for suggestions for math over the summer. She took the PSAT last fall and has linked her scores to the SAT prep on Khan Academy, so that will definitely be part of it, but would she benefit from something else as well? We do have access to a self-paced online Saxon Advanced Math course and to a self-paced College Algebra course through edX. I am planning on the Advanced Math (possibly at half-pace per Art Reed's suggestion) for next school year in any case. Quote
wapiti Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 There is a book recommended for going from "good" to "great" SAT math scores: Pwn The SAT. It looks like a new version is out for the new SAT. http://www.amazon.com/PWN-SAT-Guide-Mike-McClenathan/dp/1523963573/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1461456862&sr=8-7&keywords=own+the+sat https://pwntestprep.com/wp/#.VxwPvavmtdg 2 Quote
