Holly Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 I've ordered this for the coming year. I never thought I'd order a HS curriculum for a 2yo, but the thought of finding activities to keep him busy on Pinterest (and finding time to assemble all of them) makes me want to cry! This looks so open & go, not to mention age appropriate. We'll be using this next fall, and I'm trying to figure out how to structure it into our day. I'd love to hear what anyone else has done or is planning on doing. I can't decide whether to fit in all in at once or break it up throughout the day. 1 Quote
Hilltopmom Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Following- same boat here. I was so good with planning fun, different stuff for my big kids, but now, not so much, not even a little. Quote
3 ladybugs Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 If you are looking for something that is good out of the box please look at Mother Goose Time. I am doing it with my 2 year old (3 in July) and I am LOVING it. No prep work on my part (except for getting the circle time board created when we first started) and a box full of 20 fun and educational things a month. My child has memorized bible verses, is counting mostly to 13, starting to understand ABCD patterns, tells me what the weather is everyday, and a whole bunch of other things. I know it isn't in everyone's budget but it really is open and go. As I was in this boat a couple of months ago. Quote

I used FIAR with my older children, and we did lots of fun things, but I just haven't been able to fit it in consistently with my younger ones. I was planning on BFIAR for next year, but Memoria Press is a bit more planned out than FIAR. I'll be using MP's Enrichment guide with my 1st grader, so I hope it works for us! I just can't seem to do much consistently for my younger ones, aside from basic 3Rs. If you are looking for something that is good out of the box please look at Mother Goose Time. MP's preschool guide is less than $30 for the year, and I can get many of the books from our library. I probably have most of the other supplies as well. Next year I'll have a high schooler, so most of our budget has gone towards her curriculum. Quote

When I call them up they look for me by searching my zip code and I am the only one using it in my zip code. :( Quote
Kristie in Florida Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 We are. I had bought it too early and shelved it for nearly a year. It is the bulk of our special morning basket time when my daughter is doing independent work. Quote
kalusignan Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 I used it with my dd3 this year. It's very gentle, and I totally see being able to do it with a 2yo. We actually sat and did everything at bedtime. It was a great routine/bonding time for us. I also added other books to lengthen the read-aloud time. Quote

I love the ideas on Pinterest, but in reality...ugh! Let us know what you decide to do because my 19 month old is quickly approaching the age where I'm going to need more to keep him busy! Quote
Holly Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 I know what you mean about finding time! I'm hoping my DC can do some of the activities with him, while I'm working with the other DC. My other thought was to keep his books in the kitchen, and we can fit some in while I'm waiting on dinner to cook. I really could use a few extra hours in the day. Quote
CherryBlossomMJ Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I've been using MP full sets since the beginning and my love started with JrK. But I have the Preschool guide and it is wonderful too. I will be using it with a two year old this fall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
