I'm looking for something that will mainly be used for things like roasts, curries, stew, soup, etc. Probably bean soup at least once a week. Family of two adults, one teen boy, and two littles. I have made yogurt in the past but not sure it's worth the time/trouble so not sure that feature is worth it. Besides, I do have a yogurt maker, although I guess I could get rid of the yogurt maker if I had that feature on the instant pot, so less clutter?

Also, can you cook from frozen in it? Say frozen chicken breasts or pork chops or stew meat?

I have the 6 qt, 7 in 1. It is big enough and I don't feel the need to upgrade to the 8qt.

Yes, you can cook from frozen in it.

I have not made yogurt in it, but I went ahead and bought the one with capability of doing so because it was only $14 difference when I bought it.

If you decide to buy an Instant Pot, you may want to buy it from Walmart online because apparently they carry a version of the Duo (7in1) with a removable cord - which would come in handy when you take the pot somewhere and you don't need to plug it in, or if the plug gets damaged, it will be easy to replace.

I have the duo in a 6 quart and love it! I cooked a 6 pound chicken in it this weekend with no problem (and in only 25 minutes cook time). I am absolutely in love with this machine!
