Camera for young filmaker

My dd15 likes making films.  She would like to purchase a good quality camera for filming (she's has borrowed from friends in the past) and needs recommendations. I know nothing about cameras for filming and thought there may be some experts here!  Please share your advice/recommendations with us.  Thanks.

Probably the one with the best resolution you can afford, good zoom, and an expansion sd memory slot. Get the sd card with a speed class of 10
