St. John's College in Annapolis

Hi all,

 

Has anyone sent their child to St. John's?  I'm curious about it.  It's the type of school that my son would thrive at, and he was just accepted to their summer academy for high schoolers.

I earned my master's degree at SJC Annapolis and would be happy to try to answer any questions you and your son might have.

I have two friends who went there, but it was 25 years ago, so their info might be outdated. :). One went on to Harvard a few years later.

My son (16 years old) was at Summer Academy (Annapolis) in July. He loved it, applied for undergraduate, and just received his acceptance. He loves philosophy and humanities courses but he wants to do math which is also part of the St. John's curriculum. He had a bunch of medical problems which affected his highschool math progress, but he wants to study it some more and his lower math grades don't seem to have affected his getting into the college.
