FaithManor Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Here is an article on a debacle at University of Buffalo. (Interestingly, we were in that neck of the woods right before Easter. Drove part way to DD and hubby in Albany, stayed over at a Comfort Inn practically next door to the university). I feel so bad for students when these kinds of things occur. http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/university-at-buffalo/ub-mistakenly-sends-5000-acceptance-emails-20160417 1 Quote
katilac Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 This happened so often last year that I didn't even tell dd when email acceptances came in! I waited at least a full day and then checked on the portal, etc. (we used my email due to some changes in our provider and emails) Quote
FaithManor Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Katilac, that is very wise. Ds was warned not to believe emails, and wait for paper letters in the mail or updates that included a student ID number and account. Something that backed up the email. 2 Quote
