Flowergirl159
If you were planning on using Visual Latin, say in grades 6-8, what Latin would you use in grades 3-5? Edited April 18, 2016 by Flowergirl159
Slache
Nothing. Visual Latin is for beginners and I'd rather have the time for something else. Many have used Getting Started With Latin beforehand, but that will last a year or less. Others have liked MCT vocabulary before Latin as well. We're doing Spanish before Latin. Good luck! Haiku
I agree. There's no need to do something before you start a beginner program.
SebastianCat
We did/do Getting Started with Latin in 6th grade, followed by Visual Latin 1 & 2 in 7th & 8th. My goal was exposure to Latin, not fluency, and those programs fit our needs exactly without being too challenging for Mom to help, since I've never studied Latin myself. My kids will do foreign language (most likely Spanish) through a virtual school or DE in high school.
weintz8
Beginning Word Roots might be nice before but you don't need anything before visual Latin.
Flowergirl159
Thanks everyone :) I had ordered English from the Roots Up and it arrived today, so I might add that in to our week.
