Slache Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 It's a Galaxy Tab A 8" for school. Which app for PDFs? If I download the Audible app I get 3 months membership for free. That's the best I'm going to get, right? Do I want the Kindle app or the Kindle For Samsung app? I have a Kindle Paperwhite, I want this for immersion reading for John. What other apps do I want? What else do I need to know? I have a case coming next week. 1 Quote
Lady Florida. Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 It's a Galaxy Tab A 8" for school. Which app for PDFs? 1. If I download the Audible app I get 3 months membership for free. You don't have to join audible though to buy books. You won't get a discount or a free audiobook each month, but you can be a non-paying member and only buy when you want to. If the trial gives you a credit I'd go for it. 2. I tried the Kindle for Samsung and I don't really see a benefit. I think you get a free book each month, but the choices were limited. I ended up deleting it and just downloading the regular Kindle app. That's what I have on my Samsung phone. I too have a Paperwhite, so I only use the app for books with color photos or illustrations. The rest is going to depend on what you'll want to do. If it's for school you probably want some kind of office software - a word processor at the very least. Mine came with a low level version of Microsoft Office, but if you like Google docs or Open Office or something else, you'll have to download the apps. You might want a calendar app and to do list if you don't like what came with it. If the dc will be watching school videos then you'll want the Netflix and YouTube apps. That's all I can think of for now. Quote

I think I want a map game and xtra math but I don't know if I need the app. Quote
