Dmmetler Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 This past year, we did a math club where the kids did monthly challenges, and completion was poor-even when I e-mailed the questions and told parents they could scan their child's answers and e-mail them back when absent. I was wondering if there was a good way to put the questions on an online form and have the kids answer there, and just hit "submit"? Quote
MomatHWTK Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Google docs or dropbox? I imagine there are better programs but I can't think of any right now. If I come across one in my net roamings, I'll try to remember to post. Quote
ondreeuh Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 You can create forms in google docs. There are YouTube videos on how to go it. I would post links to the forms on a website. Quote
Cosmos Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I'm familiar with quia but if you google "make online quiz" there are a wide variety of tools. Even something like SurveyMonkey might work. Quote

Google Forms are very easy to administer and are linked to free descriptive statistics. https://www.google.com/forms/about/ Quote
Kuovonne Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I like Google forms. However, it put all the responses in a spreadsheet. Long, freeform answers are difficult to view in the spreadsheet. You also cannot submit photos. I use Schoology for my co-op students to turn in their homework electronically. https://www.schoology.com/home.php It is free for both me and my students. It might be overkill for you because every student needs his or her own login. However, it does have some nice features. It has quizes that can be automatically grading (except for essay questions). It is easy for students to submit long answers, including rich formatting of paragraphs. I can check work as it is turned in and feedback long before class time. If Schoology were only a backup plan for submitting homework, it would not work. However, since I have my kids complete 4-5 very short assignments per week, it works well for me. Quote
