Night Elf
So my MIL says I have to send out announcements for dd18 who is graduating this year. The cheapest package through the school is $99. I only have 6 people that we would send an announcement. I can't justify that price! I found a place online that will let me order only 10 for .49/card. BUT, it seems they're all graduation announcement/invitations. We're not having a party, especially because 4 of those people live out of state. So I'm changing the design to say Class of 2016, her name, her school name, her graduation date. Is that good enough for an announcement? What is supposed to be on it? I hate these things because I feel they solicit money and I don't want that. What do you think? I just wanted something plain to announce it. Do you think this is good enough? Jenny in Florida
Honestly, for that small a number of announcements, I would probably just print something out at home. Take a look at these, and see if you could adapt any of them and just print as many as you need: https://www.pinterest.com/carolegalassi/printable-diy-graduation-announcements-templates/
Night Elf
I don't even want a picture on it, because we purchased pictures as part of a package. They'll fit in the envelopes.
Night Elf
Wait, there's more! Her school does this thing called blue envelopes for seniors. You get people to send in graduation cards addressed to the school with the student's name on them. The school collects all of your cards and puts them into a blue envelope that they hand out at the mandatory senior breakfast. No money or gift cards allowed. So I'm asking everyone I know to please send her a graduation card to the school for this. So then I'm supposed to send out announcements and expect people to get her a second card? That doesn't make sense!
