Cajun seasoning that tastes like Bojangles?

Recommended Posts

I have always made super healthy meals but now  have a Bojangles addict in the house.   :svengo:  I am going to try to produce a healthier version at home, doing oven-fried, but need some guidance on a Cajun seasoning (either homemade or a brand) that tastes like Bojangles.

I surely hope the Hive can help!

Looking online the Bo' is cleaner than it used to be... but lots of stuff is still packed with MSG and almost literally everything has soy in it, which is probably some sort of hydrolyzed soy isolate that is an excitotoxin and mimics MSG. You can get cajun spices and cook healthy but it may not have quite as much pop without the chemicals.

All those others are latecomers after Tony's. 😄

(Same thing for hot sauces - Tobasco brand is the original!)

The only main (easily detectable) spice that Tony's doesn't contain is bay leaf. So if you need more of that, you can try an eastern coast favorite, Old Bay seasoning.
