visitor
Dear all, DS5 needs to do some math practise on addition and subtraction . He understands his math but he needs to work on his math drills. Because he is still very young I wanted a game so he still will have fun. I dont need an application I prefer something as a game in real life :-) . Thanks , visitor
Cake and Pi
Have you looked at the Right Start Math card games kit? My boys love so many of those games. They play them for fun when I insist that they be quiet. There's so many games; the set grows with the child. Sum Swamp is fun too but quickly outgrown. I know you said you prefer non-computer games, but electronics are a sure way to make fact drill incredibly fun, especially if he doesn't usually get much screen time. There's a free Math Slicer app that he would probably like. Or check out Reflex, that's super gamey and fun (but maybe a bit expensive after the free trial if you have more than one kid who wants to play).
desertflower
We have sum swamp and if he knows money, perhaps the allowance game.
Jackie
Toss Up! is a game that involves some minimal probability along with adding up to 100 for score keeping. You could also start the score at 100 and subtract to get to 0 for winning. Sleeping Queens includes adding 5, 10, 15, and 20 to each other. Zeus on the Loose involves adding to 100 plus a bit of subtraction and rounding. Yahtzee includes quite a bit of adding, and you can start to work on multiplication for it.

letsplaymath
I have quite a few math games on my blog, most of which are played with basic cards or dice: Let's Play Math Games and especially for young learners: Number Bonds = Better Understanding (games at the end of the post)
