Mama Geek
There was a 2 foot long black snake with a white belly outside the garage this morning....did I mention that is one of the very few things I am terrified of. At least dh said it isn't poisonous.
Dmmetler
If you were close to us, we'd come relocate it. I'm guessing either rat snake or racer, both non-venomous rodent eaters.
plansrme
For the same reason that everyone starts vomiting when my husband is gone. Also, that is prime time for the dishwasher or sink to explode. Although, in fairness to the gods of household disasters, it is probably less annoying to take care of such things when my husband is in another state than when he is standing right there watching me take care of them.
SparklyUnicorn
Ok so am I the only one who didn't think this was literally about snakes?
Cinder
Ok so am I the only one who didn't think this was literally about snakes? Nope. I thought maybe the meat truck people only visit then . . . or something like that. Maybe because I'd be less bothered by actual snakes.
bibiche
We only need stitches when DH is out of town. But I'd prefer stitches to snakes (sorry dmettler and daughter!) any day.
MEmama
They would at my house because my DH is even more yucked out by them than I am. They would be doing him a favor. *shudder*
Liz CA
Because they "know" they are in no danger.... Not a fan of snakes myself but where I used to live it was mostly baby rattlers that had me running. I like rodents more than snakes so I am not particularly in favor of the rodent-eating non-venomous snakes either but at least you will be fine if they get you. :w00t: Edited April 11, 2016 by Liz CA

Pink and Green Mom
Yes, indeed why? I have had one in my KITCHEN :svengo: :svengo: :svengo: and one in my garage :svengo: :svengo: :svengo: both during normal business hours. I am petrified. I do not care that they are harmless and small. I am scared to death of them. Lizards, bugs, and rodents do not bother me. But any snake is enough to send me running. I haven't stepped out of our pool cage in the back yard for 3 years (we have live here 3.5 years) because there may be a snake hanging out in the grass.

Dh said probably a rat snake. We had found a couple of snake skins in one of our bushes last fall. Dh cut them way back in hopes of not encouraging them. He grew up on a farm and doesn't mind snakes although will get rid of poisonous ones.
