displace Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Are there flash card apps that can turn the cards into games? Simple stuff like matching answers, picking answers from choices, memory, but with a game atmosphere. I'm looking to make flash cards for word roots, maybe vocabulary, multiplication, spelling rules, grammar, maybe others but I want it more fun than drill and kill. Does this exist? I'd hate to buy multiple apps that I can configure for a lot of subjects. Quote
displace Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Quizlet? I wasn't sure if it has games. ? Quote
Woodland Mist Academy Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Seconding the recommendation for Quizlet. It has at least one or two games. Quote
displace Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 I found something called bittsboard (I think) but I can't quite figure it out. Quote
displace Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Okay, I'll look into quizlet. Bits board has mostly games but I'm still not certain I can make my own or not. There are about 10 activities. Quote
PeterPan Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Quizlet is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! The app has games and the website has games. You don't even have to uplaod a list to try them. Just go try someone else's public list. I LOVE Quizlet. 1 Quote
Kuovonne Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 BitsBoard is amazing. I love all the mini-games. Only, it doesn't work for cards with text on both sides. One side has to be a picture. 1 Quote
Kuovonne Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Futaba is a cute flash card game. Questions can be text or pictures. Answers can only be *very* short (one or two word) answers. You can also use your question sets with Buzz Monster. 2 Quote
EndOfOrdinary Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 An app that covers everything from matching to fruit ninja (using flash card terms) is NKO Flashcards. You can import decks directly from quizlet. It is a bot spendy for full usage (14.99), but it will keep stats and create a leaderboard for shared decks. If you share between students they can also dual each other. 3 Quote
