LisaKinVA Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Of the College Board now. Just thought everyone here should know, those college boardies are just as helpful, encouraging and filled with wisdom to help you navigate the murky waters of college applications, financial aid, etc. They have really helped open my eyes, and guide me through the beginning stages of the process. They even peppered me with questions I didn't even think to ask! They have made this process so much less intimidating (still need wine and chocolate, or a couple of stiff drinks -- but it's so much better than where I was at the beginning of the week!) 11 Quote
goldberry Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Agreeing! This college thing is terrifying. I feel so clueless with some of my questions, but no one makes me feel bad for asking! Quote
SparklyUnicorn Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Oh goodness yes. I feel like a dumbo for some of my questions, but people have really been helpful. I do not know how I'd manage without them. Quote
Garga Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I'm doing better, too. I was pretty terrified a few months ago, but the more I research and collect information and the more I ask, the better I'm feeling. Getting a kid ready for college still is a TON of work, but at least I have a general outline of what to do now and I'm not just flailing about like Chicken Little. 1 Quote
clementine Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Yes! Having a college freshman, I relied on that board so much in the past year and will in the future! I think all of us that participate there just want to help others make the transition, prepare for possible scenarios, and encourage & support. Quote
