Saving SAT Scores

Recommended Posts

I know if you take SAT's before a certain age, you have to specify that you want them saved; otherwise they disappear. Is this selective, or is it all or nothing? In other words, if a student takes the regular SAT twice, as well as some subject tests, before that age, can we choose to just save the better SAT score and the subject tests with scores that we are happy with?

As I understand it, you have to tell them to save scores for each year separately before age 13. In our case, we chose not to save DD's because they already are on her file for talent search classes and I had them sent directly to the one local DE option that takes the SAT. The chance of her applying to colleges with SAT scores taken at age 10 seems pretty unlikely, especially since the ACT with writing counts as an annual test on file.

I believe it's based on sitting. If you take more than one subject test on the same day, then you may choose to save all or none of the scores for the same sitting by June of that year. If you'd like to be sure, maybe give them a call?
