My son, age 14...started complaining of a gas bubble like pain in his stomach.  We have done all of the typical things we normally do...and he still has the pain...and he says it really hurts.  The pain is in the middle of his stomach...doesn't hurt to press on it...but he says it hurts to walk.

Any thoughts for me?

Idk but given my week, if it doesn't improve in a few hours I'd take him to the ER to be safe. Especially if it's more painful than just uncomfortable (like gas), or if he isn't normally one to complain/mention something like that.

I hope it turns out to be nothing.

I feel like an idiot...but he seems fine now...must have just been a really bad case of a gas bubble...thanks for your response...sorry to have bothered the hive...next time I will wait a bit before jumping to a conclusion.

Glad he's feeling better.

It's always better to ask and be safe than to regret you didn't. Never doubt your mama intuition!

We just went to the ER for this last week. Incredible pain, especially while walking, jumping, getting jostled in the car.  Called our MD and she said go to the ER.  Spent 5 hours there, two ultrasounds, one bag of Ringer's solution to hydrate.  Nothing. Came home.....
