ksr5377 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I'm wondering if anyone has used this type of mortgage to help finance a remodel? We're looking into the Streamlined version, as we would like to use it mainly for a kitchen renovation that would be under the $35,000 limit. Looking for any BTDT stories. Quote
ksr5377 Posted April 6, 2016 Author Posted April 6, 2016 Hmm....I'll try one more time. No replies is making me feel like it's a bad idea. Quote
magnificent_baby Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I had never heard of this so I had to google. I really like the garden web forums for household questions. Doing a quick search using 'garden web 203k' brought up many responses to this type of loan. You might try there! Quote
Prairie~Phlox Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I had never heard of this before either. Quote
Guest Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 A quick google makes it look not so good. It sounds like a lot more hoops than a regular mortgage. Quote
SparklyUnicorn Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 We considered something like this, but first off we couldn't find a lender who knew anything about it. Quote
