RootAnn Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 So, we don't have TV, but we do watch some when at hotels. Help me out with identifying the show we saw on Saturday. DH was flipping through TV stations at the hotel on Saturday night after the Cincy homeschool convention. He thinks the show was on MTV. It had two parts - one seemed to be real (college-age) couples (of all types) at someone's house/apartment on a date-of-some-sort. There were three or four couples. Scenes of what was going on at their places were intermixed with the other part of the show. The other part was a scripted & hillarious show about a girl who worked at a diner who met a guy & they got engaged & planned to marry in a matter of days. The girl's family included a black dad, a Hindu mom who asked the guy for a sperm sample to make sure he wasn't shooting blanks. (The next scene with a cat pooping on family's toilet had DH in stitches.) The guy's family included a sex therapist Mom. (I didn't see this part, so I don't know anything else.) The wedding planner had a big butt (and I cannot lie). The guy's "best mate" was a hot woman named Andi, and they'd only broken their engagement a couple of months prior. MTV's schedules don't appear to go backwards. Is anyone as juvenile as DH (and I) and know what it was called? Quote
DawnM Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I googled but is it called Master of None? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4635276/?ref_=ttep_ep_tt Quote
Prairie~Phlox Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I googled but is it called Master of None? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4635276/?ref_=ttep_ep_tt I'm curious, because this is a Netflix show, so it would not be on regular cable. Quote
RootAnn Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Nope. That doesn't look like it at all, but thanks for looking. Anyone else? Quote
Prairie~Phlox Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Does it appear to be any of these shows? http://www.mtv.com/showsCatfish maybe? Quote
Prairie~Phlox Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I'm always looking for weird reality stuff to watch, so I'm curious. Quote
RootAnn Posted April 5, 2016 Author Posted April 5, 2016 Nope. None of the listed shows. Tried them. I'm stumped. Usually, I can Google my way to an answer, but nothing this time. Quote

Missed the "thinks" part.....maybe it is on another channel.....now you have me wondering.... Quote
RootAnn Posted April 5, 2016 Author Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) Date Movie perhaps? This is it! The TV show must have had couples watching it on their dates. I've never heard of it before. Thank you!! Funny how panned the movie is from the Wiki article. Definitely juvenile humor, but right up DH's alley. I knew the Hive would come through. Gracias!
