Wheres Toto Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I'm trying to plan out math for DS next year. He will be starting pre-Algebra and I was thinking Jousting Armadillos because I think it would really appeal to him (I want conceptual but don't think AOPS is the best bet for him as a primary program). But I've seen posts about how it's not complete. We have always used multiple math resources anyway so I'm thinking of adding Zaccaro. I've seen posts where people use Zaccaro Challenge along with various Pre-Algebra programs and I've seen posts where people are using Zaccaro Real World Algebra along with Pre-Algebra. So, which would go best with Jousting Armadillos and maybe some Beast Academy? Or is this an absolutely awful idea? Thanks, Quote
SilverMoon Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Both. Really though, they're short enough you could probably easily complete both in a year. Quote
Chrysalis Academy Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I agree, both are great! If I had to pick one to pair with JA it would be Zaccaro RWA. Shannon did them both for her PreA and it worked out very well. Quote

Thanks both of you, even if it means spending more money. Quote
SilverMoon Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I'd probably start with Challenge, and chase it with RWA. 1 Quote
Chrysalis Academy Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I would do Challenge before RWA too, I think Shannon did Challenge alongside MM5, and then did a big mash-up of MM6, JA, and RWA in 6th grade. 1 Quote
