madteaparty
What did you follow it up with? Thank you!
WhirlyBirds
I haven't read them, but my mom is reading the Ranger's Apprentice series and the librarian told her to follow up with Fablehaven. So I'm thinking people who like one would like the other?
SilverMoon
Riordan's series and Harry Potter, if I recall correctly.
alisoncooks
Also Septimus Heap books and The Magic Thief series.
madteaparty
We started Septimus Heap as an audio, and while *I* loved it (frankly I thought it was better than HP)--DS did not take to it. So fickle, this boy. Riordan is done and so is HP. I will look into everything else, thanks so much. Eta that we started Ranger's Apprentice as audio today and it seems promising! Lecka
My son does not care for Beyonders, but he likes Sky Raiders (or a similar name, book 4 just came out) and he likes Candy Shop Wars by the same author.
madteaparty
Has he read Gregor the Overlander?Oh my gosh have we ever. It is entirely beloved here and we still talk about it. We can never match that standard :)

Tanaqui
The Candy Shop War had some weird issues with racist exoticism, and I would not recommend it.
prairiewindmomma
We did the books mentioned above, and that was also the summer we did Alcatraz v. the Evil Librarians by Brandon Sanderson, Artemis Fowl--the first 6 or 7 of them, and the Eragon series.
