Faithr
My 17 yo who struggles with dyslexia and so seldom picks up a book to read on his own initiative, just started reading C.S. Lewis' Surprised by Joy. He also has never struck me as being particularly religious. He just never seems very interested. I am always a little worried about him and of course pray a lot about him. Anyway, he is so amazed by this book! He keeps reading it and then coming to me to read a passage out loud to me and then says: isn't that great??? The book is just flooring him with its insight! He's completely in tune with Lewis' experiences and views. I don't think he's ever willingly come to read something out loud to me! It is an amazing change. Thank you, God (and C.S. Lewis!).

Eliz
That's great! It's exciting to watch a child overcome limitations. My older daughter is dyslexic. The first time she read a book of her own for fun, I cried. She reads voraciously now.
