Tammi K
Seriously, I can't figure out the quick and easy way to listen to podcasts. I have a mac and an iphone. I figure there is something very basic I am missing about how to locate, download, and listen to podcasts. SOS, please. Speak to me like you would talk to a very stupid individual because, although in most things I am quite intelligent, in matters of technology, I am pretty hopeless. Forget-Me-Not
There is an app for iPhone called "Podcasts". It's got a purple icon. Then you can go through that and browse the iTunes selection for podcasts and subscribe there. You can go browse podcasts in regular iTunes as well, but it will make you install the app before you can subscribe or download the podcasts. And you're not stupid. I finally figured it out with the method in my last sentence :D Edited March 29, 2016 by Forget-me-not
Rachel
I have an iPhone and use the Stitcher app. It's really easy to use, I save my favorite stations and mark specific shows for listening later. The "listen later" feature saves the episode to your phone so you don't have to use data or be on wireless to listen to it.
plansrme
Ignore the Mac; use your iPhone and the podcast app. When I listened on my phone, I found the Podcast app relatively simple to maneuver. Now that I listen on a tiny iPod (better for running), and the iPod has to be connected to my Mac, I regularly want to throw my Mac across the room. For something that is supposed to be so intuitive and beautifully designed, iTunes is maddening. It is also inconsistent--what works today doesn't work tomorrow. I wish Amazon were in charge of podcasts.
fraidycat
I've never tried it in my Mac, but I'm not a fan of iTunes on the computer so I imagine my experience would probably be similar to plansrme's. I use the Podcast app on my iPhone or iPad. Just search for titles, subscribe, and listen.
Guest
Just make sure that you mark the podcasts "play newest first" or "play oldest first". I listened to the last episode of mystery by accident. That was a bummer.
